About The Position

The Freezer Operator ensures the efficient and safe operation of freezing equipment in a food production environment. The role maintains product quality by monitoring freezing processes, following safety and quality control standards, and handling and inspecting products before and after freezing. The operator coordinates with production and shipping teams to support timely processing and dispatch of frozen goods, helping maintain production efficiency and product integrity.

The position uses verbal reasoning to follow operational instructions and safety protocols, product inspection skills to identify defects or inconsistencies, and knowledge of production processes to coordinate workflow. Safe use of pallet jacks and other material handling equipment is also essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a food production or processing environment.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to freezer operation and food handling.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Strong verbal reasoning skills to understand and follow operational instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a freezer operator or in a similar production line role.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and product inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of food processing equipment such as blenders and mixers.
• Certification in food safety or related training.
• Experience with shipping and receiving logistics in a manufacturing or production setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor freezer equipment to maintain optimal freezing conditions for food products.
• Inspect products before and after freezing for quality and consistency and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with production line staff to manage product flow through the freezing process efficiently.
• Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move products safely within the facility.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Accurately document production and inspection activities for quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely and accurate product dispatch.
