Freezer Associate - Stacker/Palletizing
About The Position
This position is for a Full Time Freezer Associate in the Production Department at Hershey's Ice Cream in Harrisburg, PA. The role involves working as part of an ice cream production crew, focusing on palletizing and preparing finished products for shipping. The job offers a consistent schedule, typically averaging a 50-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with a First Shift from 4:30 am to approximately 2:30 pm or completion. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate after 40 hours per week. The starting wage is $21.96 per hour, increasing to $22.56 after 60 days of positive performance.
Requirements
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for majority of shift
- Must be able to complete twisting and reaching motions while seated
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment drug screens and criminal background checks
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Food manufacturing environment experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Work as part of ice cream production crew palletizing and preparing finished products for shipping
- Train in multiple stations of quality control, robotic palletizing, manual palletizing, and forklift operation
- Maintaining our highest quality of food safety standards, sanitation standards, and production requirements.
- Must observe all safety procedures, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Other responsibilities as they are assigned.
