About The Position
VML is seeking a Brand Strategy Director (Freelance) to join VML. This role is for an organized, detail-oriented campaign orchestrator who loves knowing the ins and outs of tools, technology and processes as well as how to craft a Brand brief that engages and energizes. The individual will plan, coordinate and execute a major automotive brand's evolution and messaging programs, and help uncover insights that can guide a brand's ideas and decisions in all things.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Brand Strategy experience, ideally in the Automotive sector, for a major Advertising Agency
- Experience working independently and ability to move projects forward without detailed direction
- Understanding of omni-channel platforms and functions, and the ability to share that knowledge with others
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Ability to present to clients and co-create solutions with them
Responsibilities
- Partner with creative, strategy, data and media teams to support a brand's marketing goals
- Create and manage Strategic creative briefs
- Plan and execute strategic campaigns that support key brand milestones and tentpole events
- Keep a pulse on current events, online trends and potential controversies or threats relevant to the brand
