About The Position

Industrial Color is seeking experienced, detail-oriented freelance retouchers for ongoing, project-based assignments supporting high-end interiors, lifestyle, and home furnishings photography. The role is suited to mid-to-advanced-level retouchers with strong Photoshop compositing skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to deliver polished, photorealistic results independently in a fast-paced production environment. The position is open to hybrid schedules, with work in the company's Tribeca studios and/or remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects. Applicants must provide a portfolio demonstrating relevant retouching and compositing work. Selected candidates may be asked to complete a paid retouching test. Industrial Color is a division of CoCreativ, a family of integrated creative production companies. Requirements

Mid-to-advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, particularly compositing, masking, and image reconstruction.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce natural, photorealistic results.
Strong understanding of perspective, lighting, shadows, color accuracy, and texture.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver consistently high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to producer feedback.
Provide a portfolio demonstrating relevant retouching and compositing work.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with interiors, furniture, home furnishings, or lifestyle photography is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality retouching, color correction, masking, and compositing for interiors and lifestyle photography.
Execute product replacements, including rugs and home furnishings, while maintaining realistic perspective, scale, texture, lighting, and shadows.
Handle environmental adjustments, object removal, image reconstruction, and architectural corrections as needed.
Maintain accurate product colors, patterns, and textures across multiple images.
Interpret detailed client markups and art direction, ensuring consistency with established brand standards.
Review and quality-check work carefully before submission to minimize unnecessary corrections and revisions.
