Rivel is currently seeking a talented, self-assured Research Operations Analyst to join our Rivel Banking Research division in a contract-based , fully remote position. Depending on the needs of the department, this position may lead to additional work opportunities in the future. About Us Rivel uses a data-driven approach to give banks and credit unions a deeper understanding of their customers’ and prospective customers’ key decision drivers. Rivel Banking Research conducts over 200,000 interviews annually to clarify business and banking consumers’ experiences and pain points among all local financial institutions, measuring over 90 perception metrics. With the capability to target that information down to the zip code, Rivel helps financial institutions increase their market share, create effective messaging, and focus on the right products to drive brand awareness and growth. As a full-service market research firm for financial institutions, Rivel Banking Research provides custom support for clients including focus groups, product development studies, and competitive benchmarking. About You You are comfortable running standardized, repeatable research and workflows across ongoing and recurring client work, allowing senior researchers to focus on custom insights and client strategy. You can work within established processes and templates to deliver accurate, client ready outputs on deadline, particularly at high volumes. No prior banking or financial services experience is needed, rather, success depends on someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, comfort working with data and the ability to reliably execute structured tasks at-scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Market Research/Data experience and/or Finance coursework a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience in research, analytics and/or consulting
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and comfortable handling high-volume work independently
  • Interest in data storytelling, even if not leading narrative development
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience working with structured datasets and recurring reporting outputs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred
  • Familiarity with survey research platforms or methodologies preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute standardized research deliverables across recurring, syndicated and wave based studies to support high volume demand
  • Produce tables, charts and structured outputs used in client facing reports and presentations
  • Clean, validate and quality check research datasets, flagging issues or anomalies for review
  • Own execution heavy workstreams to reduce delivery bottlenecks and improve turnaround times
  • Follow established research workflows, managing updates and version control for existing deliverables
  • Partner with senior researchers to support larger projects and identify opportunities to streamline repeatable research tasks
