About The Position

Lentech is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to conduct problem definition, gather data requirements from stakeholders, and explain data analysis using oral and written communication skills. The role involves applying operations research techniques to management and operational problems, utilizing modeling and simulation for decision analysis, and performing multiple objective decision analysis or cost-benefit analysis. Proficiency in various analytical tools and software is required.

Requirements

Active and current TS/SCI w FSP through MD
Experience conducting problem definition and gathering data requirements from stakeholders
Oral and written communications skills to explain data analysis to stakeholders
10+ years of experience with conducting analysis of management and operational problems using operations research techniques
4+ years of experience with the application of modeling and simulation to address decision analysis problems
4+ years of experience conducting multiple objective decision analysis or cost benefit analysis in support of research objectives
4+ years of experience with PANDAS, R, Excel and VBA, ARENA, OCTAVE, Tableau, Gurobi and CPLEX, EXTENDSIM, SAS, NETICA, stats models, Stata, MATLAB, or SPSS
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Experience with developing and performing verification and validation of models to ensure adequacy
Experience developing and delivering training materials for operations research techniques
Experience briefing results and preparing written reports on analytic approaches and methodologies
Experience with the use of machine learning and large language models to solve complex problems
Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Responsibilities
