About The Position

HelloNation is an AI-powered Good News Network that focuses on telling local stories about people, businesses, and organizations that strengthen communities. The company is rapidly growing and reaches both local and national audiences. They are seeking a confident and engaging on-camera Freelance Podcast Host to bring these stories to life. This role is non-traditional; the host will not be responsible for booking guests or developing episode frameworks. Instead, the HelloNation team handles all logistics, research, and direction, allowing the host to concentrate on delivering authentic, exceptional on-camera interviews. This is a freelance, per-project opportunity with compensation of $500 per completed podcast episode. The role requires on-site presence in their studio, and candidates must be available to travel for filming sessions.

Requirements

• Background in podcasting, broadcasting, hosting, interviewing, or video content creation
• Ability to make guests feel comfortable while guiding a natural, engaging conversation
• Clear, confident delivery with strong listening instincts
• Comfortable taking direction and adjusting in real time during recordings
• A genuine interest in people and their stories comes through on camera
• Applicants must submit a demo reel showcasing on-camera experience, specifically interviews, hosting, or reporting
• Demonstrated experience hosting, interviewing, or reporting on camera with confidence and professionalism
• Experience in video production, along with a background in TV, radio, journalism, or digital media
• Familiarity with branded content and the ability to deliver structured, engaging narratives within a guided format

Responsibilities

• Host On-Camera Interviews
• Read scripted episodes from a teleprompter and lead engaging, video-based interviews with small business owners, community leaders, and association representatives
• Use your presence, tone, and curiosity to create natural, compelling dialogue that resonates with viewers
• Follow pre-developed questions and production guidance while keeping conversations fluid and human
• Work alongside our production team during scheduling and filming, as they handle setup, direction, and flow in real time
• Serve as a polished, professional face of HelloNation across a wide range of industries and communities
