About The Position

Our Fraud Prevention Specialist position specifically works the debit card disputes notifications and will support and assist in the administration, development, implementation, and documentation of the credit union’s fraud prevention program. This position will also review new accounts for potential fraud and/or high-risk activity, minimizing risk and loss to Cobalt Credit Union. You must have a working knowledge of regulations associated with various state and federal courts and of pleadings and methods of filings presented to and processed through the appropriate federal and state courts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1 year of experience in the field of fraud detection, investigations, and financial transaction monitoring required.
  • Strong knowledge of regulation and laws that govern check cashing, debit card, ACH transactions, and lending required.
  • Strong knowledge of the fraud life cycle, industry trends and fraud tools and solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Windows, including basic skills in Excel required.
  • Must be able to work in a time sensitive environment, making sound decisions, while communicating these decisions to members as well as credit union staff.
  • Working knowledge of regulations associated with various state and federal courts and of pleadings and methods of filings presented to and processed through the appropriate federal and state courts.

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
