About The Position

The position of fraud prevention advisor with the Desjardins Group Security Office involves more than working in a call centre. You actively help to protect thousands of members and clients, making a real, positive impact. As a fraud prevention advisor, you play a key role in preventing fraud by taking the necessary steps to detect and combat suspicious activities, while minimizing financial losses. You ensure member/client satisfaction and service quality in accordance with the organization’s standards and procedures. Interpersonal savvy is essential.

Requirements

• General college diploma in a related field
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience
• Knowledge of French is required
• Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
• Available to come to the office occasionally during training and once a month afterwards.
• Available to work Monday to Sunday between 7:00 a.m. and midnight

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile and analyze the type and nature of suspicious transactions
• Advise members and clients who are victims of fraud on preventive measures
• Establish an advisory relationship by identifying current and potential needs
• Identify operational risks and continuously help improve the Desjardins Group Security Office’s activities
• Assist and support members and clients who are victims of various scams, ensuring they are satisfied with the support received and have an understanding of fraud.
