About The Position

The Fraud Operations Analyst is the front line of Forward Financing’s fraud defense, protecting the business and its customers while supporting a low-friction experience for legitimate applicants and customers. The analyst investigates applications and accounts, makes timely, sound, and well-documented decisions, and identifies patterns in fraud activity. Most working time is spent reviewing fraud cases flagged by automated rules or escalated manually, with additional time devoted to default reviews and ad hoc analytical and process-improvement projects. The role uses a range of data sources, including fraud investigation tools, digital risk, credit bureau data, bank transactions, unconventional data sources, and on-us performance data to evaluate risk for new and repeat customers. It addresses both first-party and third-party fraud and works closely with underwriting and other cross-functional teams. The schedule is 11 AM–8 PM Eastern Time (9 AM–6 PM Mountain Time). This is a remote-first position, with employees welcome to work from the company’s office locations. Forward Financing offers professional development, training and mentorship, opportunities to apply data-driven ideas and present business cases to cross-functional leadership, and a collaborative team environment. Target compensation is an annual salary of $81,000–$102,000, plus a targeted annual bonus of 10%. The total rewards package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, commuter benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, a 401(k) match for U.S. employees, wellness reimbursement, volunteering days, an annual professional development budget, and a charitable donation match.
