About The Position

Frame Technicians at Kaas Tailored are responsible for building and finishing wooden furniture frames. This role involves using a variety of tools to assemble CNC-cut elements, reading and comprehending drawings, and following directions to maintain high-quality standards. The ideal candidate is a systematic thinker, a quick learner, and enjoys working with their hands in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with wood or carpentry
  • Able to read and comprehend drawings

  • Previous staining experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Operate within a team atmosphere to build beautiful furniture
  • Utilize different types of saws - band saw, table saw, panel saw
  • Utilize different types of pneumatic fasteners to assemble finished frames - staple guns, spring clip guns
  • Sand and finish exposed wood elements
  • Adhere materials to the finished frames such as textile and foam
  • Inspect final product for defects prior to shipment
  • Stand for the duration of a 10-hour shift
  • Lift 50 lbs frequently
  • Communicate effectively with the team
  • Able to see variations in color

Benefits

  • Starting wage of $20.10 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
