About The Position

We are looking for experienced CNC Operators/Woodworkers to join our second shift team (2:00PM-10:30PM) and contribute to the creation of our quality products. This role is responsible for sanding surfaces and finishing duties as you prepare our products to move forward in the production process, small assembly tasks, general wood fabricating, and CNC machine operation.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using routers, jointers, planers, table saws, and general sanding equipment.
  • Basic experience operating a CNC machine for woodworking tasks.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and basic CAD/CAM files used in furniture or cabinetry production.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in design or production needs and problem-solve on the fly.
  • Familiarity and prior experience with sanding techniques and finishing products.
  • Good communication skills and experience working working independently to complete tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet quality standards.
  • Comfortable with lifting and handling heavy materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in similar position, preferred.
  • Vocational training in woodworking a plus.
  • Passion for honing your craft.

Responsibilities

  • Sand wooden surfaces to achieve a smooth, even finish.
  • Prepare surfaces for finishing by removing imperfections and ensuring proper adhesion of coatings.
  • Operate and maintain sanding equipment and tools.
  • Perform woodworking and fabrication tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling wooden components.
  • General assembly of smaller wood products.
  • Operate CNC machines to cut, route, and shape wood components using pre-set programs.
  • Load wooden materials and set up basic fixtures for CNC machining.
  • Understand basic CNC programming concepts as they relate to wood applications (e.g., toolpaths for routing, panel nesting).
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
  • Identify and address any issues or defects in finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
