About The Position

Rose Financial Solutions (ROSE) is building a collective of experienced controllers to support its Finance as a Service (FaaS) model. This contractor role serves as the financial backbone for a portfolio of growing organizations, typically ranging from $2 million to $50 million or more. The work spans client environments such as government contractors, nonprofits, and founder-led growth companies, with exposure to ROSE’s Easby platform and mentorship from senior CFO-level leaders. The role is designed as a development path toward fractional CFO work. Contractors gain experience across client environments, training in ROSE’s financial management framework—including FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and performance advisory—and mentorship from senior ROSE CFO Members and Controllers. Those ready to take on the responsibility may progress into fractional CFO engagements. ROSE describes its approach as using finance as a strategic engine for growth, with a goal of automating 85% of finance and accounting by 2030. Its Easby platform connects data, automates routine work, and provides clients with near-real-time financial clarity. This role combines accounting leadership, client-facing guidance, compliance support, and process automation. ROSE is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not accept third-party resume submissions.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Comfort working across multiple client environments simultaneously.
  • Clear communication with non-finance stakeholders, without relying on jargon.
  • A collaborative approach, including avoiding silos and providing context during handoffs.

  • Collaborate with ROSE CFO Members and Controllers to deliver integrated financial management.
  • Support nonprofit clients with grant tracking, membership revenue, and donation accounting, ensuring funds are properly restricted, recognized, and reported.
