About The Position

Nienhuis Financial Group is a rapidly growing accounting firm providing fractional and managerial accounting services to private companies with $1–75M in revenue across varied industries, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. The Fractional CFO/Controller focused on small business will build and maintain client relationships, provide financials and controller services, and ensure compliance with accounting principles. The role is salaried and exempt. It may or may not supervise a small team.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Strong technical and interpersonal leadership.
• Ability to lead teams, including coaching, delegation, and performance management.
• High proficiency with accounting software.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, business management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or project lead experience.

Nice To Haves

• MBA or master’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of client management experience.
• CPA preferred.
