About The Position

Nienhuis Financial Group is a rapidly growing accounting firm that provides fractional and managerial accounting services to private companies with $1–$75 million in revenue across various industries, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. The Fractional CFO/Controller focused on small businesses builds and maintains client relationships, provides financial and controller services, and ensures compliance with accounting principles. The position may supervise a small team; the posting also describes managing a team of 3–5 employees.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Strong technical and interpersonal leadership.
• Ability to lead teams, including coaching, delegation, and performance management.
• High proficiency with accounting software.
• Bachelor of Arts in accounting, business administration, business management, or another related field.
• 10 or more years of accounting experience.
• 2 or more years of supervisory or project-lead experience.

Nice To Haves

• MBA, master’s in accounting, or another related field.
• 2 or more years of client-management experience.
• CPA certification.
