About The Position
This posting is for Frac Sand Coordinator candidates supporting NexTier frac operations based out of Marshall, Texas. The Logistics Coordinator oversees and coordinates sand logistics on location, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of sand to support frac operations. The role includes directing truck placement, supervising connections to sand hogs, monitoring safety performance on the pad, performing preventative maintenance on sand equipment, and assisting with pad cleanliness and organization. The position is field-based and physically demanding, with work in active frac environments, exposure to outdoor conditions, high noise, moving mechanical parts and vehicles, dust, fumes, and other atmospheric conditions. Extended shifts and variable work hours may occur. Strict adherence to PPE requirements, company policies, and safety procedures is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of sand equipment and preventative maintenance practices.
- Ability to understand and comply with all safety requirements and cautions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels and from varied backgrounds.
- Proficiency in understanding and speaking English to issue, receive, and respond to safety- and operations-related directions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of oilfield experience.
- Two years of sand coordination, trucking, or transloading experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage logistics related to sand placement on location.
- Direct sand truck positioning using proper hand signals and backing techniques.
- Verify that sand drivers meet safety requirements before accessing the pad.
- Supervise truck connections to sand hog equipment.
- Perform basic and preventative maintenance on sand equipment.
- Assist with pad cleanliness and organization.
- Order sand trucks required for pressure pumping operations under supervision.
- Wear proper PPE and adhere to all site safety requirements.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.
