About The Position

The Frac Move Tech 1 is an entry-level field position responsible for assisting with the safe rig-up, rig-down, and movement of large-bore assets and rig mats between locations. This role supports the Frac Move team in ensuring all equipment and materials are positioned, secured, and prepared for operations in compliance with company and industry safety standards. Under direct supervision, the Frac Move Tech 1 helps maintain operational readiness, contributes to efficient pad-to-pad transitions, and upholds Evolution Well Services’ core values of safety, quality, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
  • Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing, including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Daily overtime required and in-person, predictable attendance.
  • U.S. High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0 to 4 years of relevant field experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prove aptitude in technical skillsets and competencies.
  • Ability to speak and comprehend fundamental English.
  • Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
  • Attends and successfully completes annual safety and operations recertification training.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 12-hour shifts for 14 consecutive days.
  • Must be able to travel and remain on remote job sites for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of large bore systems and rig mat handling processes.
  • Ability to read and follow basic work procedures, diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety-first practices.
  • Effective teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to successfully work within a team environment to complete assigned tasks.

  • Time in Position: Minimum 12 months.
  • Successful completion of Operational Training continuing education units for current position.
  • Demonstrated ability to prove aptitude in technical skillsets and competency assessments.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior oilfield or industrial experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to company and site-specific safety policies at all times.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks.
  • Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), lockout/tagout, and environmental standards.
  • Report unsafe acts, conditions, or near misses immediately to the Frac Move Supervisor.
  • Maintain situational awareness and practice safe lifting and handling techniques.
  • Assist in the rig up, rig down, and transportation of large bore assets, rig mats, and monoline systems under supervision.
  • Support proper alignment, torque verification, and connection of iron, hoses, and associated components.
  • Operate or assist in spotting vehicles, forklifts, and cranes during loading, unloading, and placement activities.
  • Verify correct staging, positioning, and placement of large-bore assets and rig mats according to the move plan and site layout.
  • Ensure all tools and materials are ready for use, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Inspect tools, hoses, and fittings for wear or damage, and report deficiencies promptly.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining vehicles, iron, and work areas.
  • Support field tasks such as greasing fittings, checking connections, and securing components under supervision.
  • Help document inspection and service activities in accordance with company procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
