We are currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented FP&A Manager to join our growing Finance team at Ontic, a high-growth, highly diversified global aerospace manufacturer. You will report to the Finance Controller and will have an onsite work structure in Miramar, FL. The FP&A Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for Ontic’s Miramar, FL site. The FP&A Manager is a key partner to the business; communicating financial and operating performance to senior management; providing insight and recommendations for critical decision-making and driving the business performance in line with its financial and strategic goals. This is a high-visibility and high impact role with great opportunity for growth within the organization, both within and outside of Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of analyst experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field in a manufacturing or aerospace company
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment as well as stand out from the crowd when needed
  • Excellent presentation skills with ability to distill and explain complex data simply and concisely
  • Strong written communication skills using business/financial writing techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing company
  • Self-starter, innate curiosity, and a problem-solving mentality
  • AICPA or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Power BI (or other Business Intelligence software) including dashboard building, data gathering/cleaning, and best practices
  • To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person ” as defined by 22. C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Unit Directors [P&L leaders], Sales, Business Development, and Operations teams to understand, communicate, and drive financial and operating performance of the business
  • Provide analysis and constructive insights to senior management
  • Own and manage day-to-day FP&A activity for the Miramar site in FL [$c.67m revenue generating facility].
  • Mentor FP&A Analyst team to develop talent & support long-term goals
  • Analyze business performance against budget, strategic goals, and M&A activity, specifically on sales, gross margin, EBITDA, Cash Flow, and ROIC, with in-depth understanding of key drivers contributing to each
  • Track, analyze, and understand complex financial information, including sales & cost analysis, price/mix/volume analysis, market analysis, inventory tracking, returns on investment, cash flow, and other business/operational KPIs
  • Financial owner of site annual Budget, quarterly Forecasts, and weekly Flash processes
  • Prepare and present periodic financial reporting and narrative for senior management
  • Interface seamlessly with Global Finance teams in consolidation, analysis and narrative of global financial results
  • Build, maintain, and improve on existing financial models, interfacing with IT team to identify, source and validate data
  • Drive agenda for automation, enhanced visualization of data and development of enhanced technology usage across the finance department
  • Identify opportunities within the finance team and across the business for process improvements
  • Assist in certain aspects of monthly Financial Close, including but not limited to analysis & narrative, journal entries, and account reconciliations
