About The Position

The FP&A Intern supports financial planning and analysis activities for a hospitality organization, with a focus on hotel, resort, or portfolio‑level performance. This role provides hands‑on experience analyzing revenue, labor, and operating costs while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting across lodging and food & beverage operations.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic models)
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Coursework or experience in hospitality, hotels, or restaurant operations
Familiarity with hotel financial statements and department reporting
Exposure to hospitality systems such as PMS or POS data (e.g., Opera, Micros)
Experience with forecasting, budgeting, or financial modeling
Basic understanding of labor management and revenue management principles

Responsibilities

Assist with property‑level and consolidated budgeting and forecasting
Support analysis of key hospitality metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, and flow‑through
Prepare variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
Analyze departmental performance (Rooms, F&B, Sales & Marketing, Labor, G&A)
Help prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for operations and leadership
Support labor cost analysis, productivity metrics, and staffing models
Maintain and update financial models and Excel schedules
Partner with property accounting and operations teams to validate data
Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analysis related to pricing, promotions, and cost controls
