FP&A Intern
About The Position
The Finance Intern will work closely with a Finance Manager. This will be a key role that will add value across our entire organization. The position of Financial Intern will involve helping gathering financial information and providing analysis and guidance to managers, department heads, and executives across the organization, in order to assist them in weighing the financial impact of certain business decisions. The role will assist the Manager of Financial Planning in forecasting, reporting, and distributing financial reports to all departments within Echo. The intern will develop a knowledge of all of Echo’s business units, and the customers and sales reps that make these up. This position will also have insight to various projects and roles the compose the Echo Finance team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting
- Overall minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience manipulating, interpreting, and presenting data
Responsibilities
- Analyzing results of financials specific to business units and underlying performance metrics
- Work collaboratively with departments to complete expense allocations for the monthly close process
- Iterating a quarterly forecast and comparing actual vs forecasted results of business units
- Analyze large quantities of data and deliver a concise message on what the data is telling us
