About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our growing finance team. This position plays a key role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, and analytical efforts across the organization. The FP&A Analyst will work closely with leadership and department heads to provide meaningful financial insights, identify trends, and help drive strategic decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their analytical skill set and gain exposure to both the financial and operational sides of a general contractor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s or CPA
  • 2–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or FP&A; construction industry experience highly desirable.
  • Proven analytical thinker and problem solver with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform variance analysis, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling/reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain financial data to non-financial leaders and partner effectively across departments.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Perform monthly and year-to-date variance analysis comparing actuals to plan and prior periods.
  • Work closely with department leaders and executive leadership to develop and update financial forecasts, including year-end outlooks and rolling 12–18 month projections.
  • Play a key role in preparing the annual budget and five-year financial forecast, partnering closely with leadership to develop accurate projections.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions.
  • Evaluate and track key financial and operational metrics.
  • Partner with Vice Presidents and department leaders to provide financial insights, education, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Present financial results, forecasts, and analyses to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Support preparation of materials for quarterly Board meeting package.
