About The Position

The Foundry Workshop Developer develops and integrates mission-facing applications within the Army Vantage/Palantir Foundry environment. The developers will support Workshop, Slate, Ontology, React/TypeScript, or Java application-development and integration activities.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or another related scientific or technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in application development, including integrating for analytical and reporting environments.
  • Demonstrated application-development experience.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of Palantir Foundry application development.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of Workshop.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of Slate.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of Ontology-based application development.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of React/TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of Java.
  • Ability to understand the overall frontend/backend application architecture and how the applicable technologies work together.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Greater technical depth in one or more areas of the Foundry application-development stack.
  • Hands-on Army Vantage or Palantir Foundry development experience.
  • Experience developing Workshop applications and operational workflows.
  • Experience developing custom React/TypeScript functionality.
  • Experience with Java-based application development.
  • Previous Army, DoD, or federal mission-system experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mission-facing applications and workflows within Army Vantage/Palantir Foundry.
  • Develop operational workflows and application functionality using Foundry Workshop.
  • Support Slate-based application development.
  • Develop and support Ontology-based application functionality.
  • Develop user-facing and custom application functionality using React/TypeScript where required.
  • Support Java-based development associated with Slate and application functionality.
  • Develop dashboards, analytical interfaces, and operational workflows.
  • Support application state, variables, actions, and related application behaviors.
  • Support write-back and other interactive application capabilities.
  • Integrate applications with data products, predictive analytics, APIs, and other technical components.
  • Work with Senior Data/ML Engineers to make analytical and predictive capabilities accessible through mission-facing applications.
  • Work with the Full-Stack/Integration Lead to ensure application components integrate with the overall solution.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and refine application functionality.
  • Support demonstrations, deployment, and transition of completed capabilities.
