Responsible for the maintenance and repair of ladles and vessels, relining with multi-components the AOD vessels, bottom pour ladles, transfer ladles and the making of stopper rods. This role involves cleaning old linings out of ladles using a chipping gun and installing the appropriate lining, removing burned bricks from the AOD vessel and re-bricking the vessel, and positioning and moving ladles, vessels, and refractory materials with an overhead crane. The position also requires ensuring the work area is clean and free of hazards, participating in Safety, Health, and Environmental programs, updating Refractory Application, ensuring all ladles, ladle components, and vessels meet process and quality requirements, collecting and inputting data, maintaining a good work ethic and attendance record, and fostering a positive attitude. Employees are expected to participate in lean initiatives such as 6S, Visual Management, and Kaizen, and perform other duties as directed.
