We have an opportunity for a Foundry Maintenance Technician to join our Ashland, OH, team. You will maintain and service equipment, perform basic repairs, monitor equipment condition, and support foundry operations through preventative maintenance and cleaning.

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical and preventative maintenance experience
  • Ability to inspect equipment and perform minor repairs
  • Knowledge of battery maintenance and charging procedures
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
  • Good judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist consistently throughout shift.
  • Steel-toed footwear and metatarsal covers are required PPE

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lubricate and grease mechanical equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, trucks, elevators, and foundry machinery.
  • Inspect motors and equipment for wear, dirt, belt alignment issues, and other maintenance concerns.
  • Report equipment problems and perform minor repairs or belt adjustments/replacements as needed.
  • Maintain electric lift truck batteries by charging, testing, cleaning, watering, and recording battery status.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help protect and extend the life of equipment.
  • Operate power sweepers and other cleaning equipment to maintain foundry floors and aisles.
  • Follow established procedures and exercise good judgment while working under general supervision.
