About The Position

This is a unique opportunity to be the Founding Recruiter at an AI-native B2B marketing platform that is redefining how modern B2B companies operate their go-to-market strategies. The platform offers features like a drag-and-drop email builder, AI-powered personalization, real-time segmentation, and no-code workflows. The company has over 5,000 business customers and recently closed a $28M Series A funding round. The team, comprising 44 individuals with backgrounds from top tech companies, is rapidly expanding. As the Founding Recruiter, you will build the entire talent function from the ground up, working directly with the founders. This role is not a coordination position; you will own full-cycle recruiting for both engineering and go-to-market (GTM) roles, with a strong emphasis on proactive outbound sourcing. You will establish the necessary recruiting infrastructure, including ATS configuration, interview processes, and documentation, and manage external agencies. A key aspect of this role is partnering with founders to define roles, create job descriptions, and develop hiring strategies from scratch, while also having the conviction to push back on hiring managers with data when necessary to maintain a high hiring bar.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience across both technical and GTM roles at startups.
  • Startup experience from Seed to Series B, understanding the challenges of building processes mid-flight.
  • Heavy outbound sourcing orientation; ability to find candidates proactively.
  • Ashby proficiency (or similar ATS) and hands-on experience with AI enrichment and sourcing tools like Clay, Juicebox, Harmonic, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Experience managing external recruiting agencies, including calibration, quality evaluation, and accountability.
  • Conviction to have a point of view and push back on hiring managers with data to defend the hiring bar.
  • Based in San Francisco and willing to be onsite five days a week.
  • A polished, professional LinkedIn presence, as this is a founding, client-facing role.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruiting across engineering and GTM, including sourcing, screening, offer strategy, and closing, with a primary focus on top-of-funnel activities.
  • Direct partnership with founders to define roles, create job descriptions, and build hiring strategies from a blank page.
  • Establish recruiting infrastructure from zero, including Ashby ATS configuration, Calendly workflows, Slack channels, interview processes, scorecards, and documentation.
  • Manage external agencies by calibrating them on ideal profiles and holding them accountable for quality.
  • Continuously iterate on recruiting processes by exploring new sourcing tools, AI-forward outreach workflows, and enrichment data to optimize every stage of the pipeline.
  • Push back on hiring managers with data when the hiring bar needs to be moved.
