About The Position

Pragmatike is seeking a Founding Tech Recruiter to join their team during a phase of growth. This role involves building out the team by finding, attracting, and engaging top tech talent. The recruiter will act as a strategic partner within the startup ecosystem, shaping the future of tech hiring by designing recruiting systems, processes, and standards from scratch. They will collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine the hiring approach and recruit across various functions, including engineering and go-to-market. This role offers a high-leverage opportunity to see direct business impact.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles in-house or at a search agency
• At ease in startup environments and thrive amid ambiguity, rapid iteration, and high growth
• Communicate clearly—both written and verbally—and make every candidate feel valued
• Well-connected, respected by peers, and have a personal brand in the recruiting community (e.g., active LinkedIn, trusted network)
• Care deeply about quality, processes, and candidate experience
• Excited to work flexibly—this role is fully remote and freelance-friendly

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience recruiting at early-stage startups or high-growth tech companies
• Familiarity with AI, SaaS, or B2B talent markets
• Enjoy writing or speaking about recruiting, talent, or startup culture

• Build out the team as Pragmatike enters its next phase of growth.
• Operate as a strategic partner in the startup ecosystem.
• Pioneer how Pragmatike finds, attracts, and engages top talent.
• Engage directly with the startup and tech talent community.
• Become a visible advocate for Pragmatike.
• Design recruiting systems, processes, and standards from scratch.
• Partner with product and engineering to refine the hiring approach.
• Recruit across a variety of functions, from engineering to go-to-market.
