Avallon is hiring its first designer to own the customer-facing product experience for its AI agents, which handle the claims lifecycle from intake to settlement. The existing interface was built to give agents somewhere to report their work, but it has not yet been designed as the system customers use throughout the day. As major insurance companies begin running real claims operations through the product, the designer will shape that experience and establish the design language, research practice, and quality bar for future design hires. The role spans every customer-facing surface, including the claims workspace, review and exception flows, explanations and sources for agent work, and executive reporting. The designer will turn the agent platform into a system suited to dense, frequent operational workflows; shape how users review, understand, and intervene in agent actions; and partner with customers, FDEs, and engineering from discovery through delivery. The designer will also own UX instrumentation and analysis, use behavioral data and research to assess friction and usability, and build the design system and principles that can support a growing design function. Avallon describes itself as an AI insurance claims automation company. It says it grew from zero to seven figures of ARR in twelve months after coming out of Y Combinator, is growing 3X quarter over quarter, and works with some of the largest carriers in the world. The role is based in New York City and is intended for someone excited to work in person.
