Founding Partnerships Lead

MeadowPhoenix, AZ
Onsite

About The Position

As Meadow's founding Partnerships Lead in Arizona, you'll build our referral engine across Maricopa County from zero, owning every partnership from first conversation to recurring referral volume. You’ll cultivate relationships across hospices, senior living communities, palliative care teams, and social workers throughout the Phoenix metro area - the people families turn to in their hardest moments. You’ll arrive with a proven playbook from California and a mandate to adapt, break, and improve it for Arizona. What you build here will shape how Meadow expands into every market next. The motion is partnership-led, not transactional. No cold outreach quotas, no hard selling - just long-game trust building with a network that compounds the longer you tend to it. It's also deeply human work. Roughly 20% of your time is spent running ground operations that help us grow the business and improve the family experience. If you've been looking for a category that genuinely needs disruption and a company early enough that you can still shape it, this is it. This is a field role - you’ll be out across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, and surrounding communities most days, so reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in a relationship-driven role - real estate, insurance, healthcare, hospitality, or similar - with a track record of personally driving outcomes, not just managing accounts.
  • Based in the Phoenix metro area / Maricopa County. This role is field-based and requires you to be in your market every day.
  • You've built without a brand doing the work for you. You've sold or built relationships at a startup, in a new market, or in a role where you didn't have brand recognition doing the work for you.
  • A networker by nature. You build trust quickly, read rooms well, and play the long game with decision-makers.
  • A confident communicator. You're as comfortable presenting to a room of nurses or social workers as you are in a 1:1 with a care director, and you adjust your style to the audience.
  • Operator-minded. You turn ambiguity into structure - building the plan, running it, measuring it, and iterating without waiting for direction.
  • Energized by ownership. First-rep-in-market sounds like an opportunity, not a risk.

Nice To Haves

  • You've worked at a startup or in a tech-forward environment and are fluent in modern tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Arizona referral network from zero. Source, prioritize, and close partnerships with hospices, senior care providers, and adjacent care networks across Maricopa County.
  • Own the full partnership cycle - first conversation, first referral, ongoing performance. You're accountable for outcomes, not activity.
  • Run presentations and trainings. Equip partner staff to confidently refer families to Meadow - turning every team you train into an extension of ours.
  • Codify what works. Build an Arizona partnerships playbook from your wins and losses, and feed it back to the GTM team so the next market launches faster than yours did.
  • Show up for families. Support referred families with empathy and clarity, and personally deliver cremated remains - the kind of touchpoint that turns customers into advocates.
  • Operate with rigor. Keep HubSpot clean, track full-funnel performance, and run experiments to lift conversion across your funnel.
