Founding Partnerships Lead

LTVNew York, NY

About The Position

At LTV.ai, we are redefining email marketing for e-commerce brands by automating day-to-day manual tasks, including segmentation, campaign creation without designers, and personalization. Our goal is to increase LTV and drive measurable growth, allowing brands to focus on their customers. We are a fast-moving team building a high-growth company that is transforming the e-commerce industry. As the first partnerships hire, this role involves building an entire top-of-funnel engine from scratch, covering LTV.ai's presence across the agency landscape, the tech ecosystem, and key industry events. This is a 0→1 role offering founder-level autonomy and the opportunity to define the go-to-market strategy for a category-defining company. Recent achievements include onboarding major e-commerce brands like Fabletics, Sur La Table, J. Jill, One Kings Lane, and Backcountry, resulting in 15-20% lifts in email sales and up to 70% reduction in operational expenses. We have also built a differentiated AI-native platform that is actively sought after by agencies and brands as legacy ESP stacks become outdated.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in partnerships, BD, or GTM roles, with meaningful time building programs from 0→1 rather than inheriting an existing motion.
  • Prior experience in e-commerce SaaS, MarTech, or retention-adjacent platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, Shopify orbit) and the agencies that operate within it.
  • A deep rolodex in the e-commerce agency world, or a clear track record of building one quickly.
  • Comfort working with brands and agencies operating at $50M-$500M+ GMV, understanding what their operators actually care about.
  • Strong commercial instincts to design referral economics, co-sell motions, and partner tiers that drive revenue, not just logos.
  • Event and field marketing chops, including planning, executing, and measuring partner events, dinners, and conference presences that produced pipeline.
  • AI-first operator mindset, instinctively reaching for AI to draft outreach, build partner lists, synthesize event leads, generate enablement content, and run the function with 10x the leverage of a traditional partnerships hire.
  • Founder-mentality: building systems, comfortable operating in ambiguity, setting own priorities, and owning outcomes end-to-end.
  • Exceptional storytelling and relationship skills to build trust quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Build LTV.ai's agency partnerships function from scratch, including sourcing, pitching, closing, and activating agency partners as a core top-of-funnel channel.
  • Develop and own tech/platform partnerships end-to-end across the e-commerce ecosystem (e.g., Shopify, Klaviyo ecosystem adjacencies, CDPs, loyalty platforms, reviews, SMS), identifying key players, negotiating relationships, and driving pipeline through integrations, co-marketing, and co-sell motions.
  • Run the events and field marketing strategy for partnerships, including selecting events, owning the pre/during/post playbook, and turning spend into measurable pipeline.
  • Design commercial structures such as referral economics, co-marketing, tiering, and enablement to establish LTV.ai as the obvious partner of choice.
  • Partner with the founding team on messaging, positioning, and commercial terms for every partner segment.
  • Stand up scalable systems, playbooks, and reporting for the function, including attribution, partner enablement, QBRs, tiering, and co-marketing calendars.
  • Work hand-in-hand with sales and customer success to ensure partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline actually converts and retains.
  • Act as the face of LTV.ai in the partner ecosystem at events, on podcasts, in agency Slack communities, and wherever retention marketers spend time.
  • Hire and grow the partnerships team as the function scales.
