Founding Marketing Lead

Network RightSan Francisco, CA
$150,000 - $180,000Onsite

About The Position

Network Right is seeking a Founding Marketing Lead to build and scale their inbound marketing engine. This role offers exposure to a fast-moving, high-growth environment with direct impact on pipeline and revenue. The ideal candidate will leverage AI-powered marketing infrastructure, build upon an existing brand foundation, and make inbound marketing outperform outbound. This is a "one-to-ten" role, not a "zero-to-one" role, requiring the ability to assess current marketing efforts, optimize or cut what isn't working, and consistently feed the sales team with qualified leads. The position demands a data-driven approach, confidence in channel assessment, and the strategic use of AI for various marketing functions. The role requires a blend of strategic brand architecture and hands-on growth marketing, with a focus on SQLs and pipeline generation over vanity metrics.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of marketing experience in a services-oriented business.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data for decision-making and prove channel performance before scaling.
  • Experience managing or evaluating external vendors and optimizing their performance or replacing them when necessary.
  • Deep hands-on familiarity with SEMrush, Google Analytics, HubSpot, Webflow, Clay, Apollo, and Google My Business.
  • Understanding of how SEO, content, social media, and sales enablement connect and the ability to own all aspects.
  • Sales-led thinking, prioritizing SQLs over impressions.
  • Experience using AI as core infrastructure for drafting, research, production, and analysis.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an analytical mindset for fact-checking messaging and ensuring business accuracy.
  • Comfortable operating as a one to two-person function in the short term and owning output personally before building a team.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in HR tech, PEOs, HRIS systems, or recruiting tools.
  • Experience building sales enablement content and training a sales team to use it independently.
  • Familiarity with building AI-powered marketing infrastructure from scratch.
  • Experience managing a marketing function through a period of rapid company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and evaluate existing vendor relationships (design agency, SEO firm), determining value and making decisions on retention, optimization, or replacement.
  • Amplify existing SEO efforts and expand into new inbound channels to generate pipeline for the sales team.
  • Run website experiments focused on pricing page layout, time-on-site optimization, and conversion rate improvements.
  • Translate Network Right's story into clear, high-value narratives targeting the pain points of IT decision makers, founders, and operations leaders at high-growth companies.
  • Build and enforce brand consistency across all touchpoints, including AI-generated content, email signatures, onboarding materials, sales collateral, and social media.
  • Enable the sales team to self-serve pre-approved, on-brand content using approved messaging trained on HubSpot data and recorded sales conversations.
  • Own marketing KPIs and performance reporting, analyzing historical SEO and inbound data to identify untapped growth opportunities.
  • Build reporting that clearly demonstrates performance, identifies areas for improvement, and guides investment decisions, focusing on pipeline and revenue dashboards.
  • Leverage AI tooling (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) as core infrastructure for content generation, traffic analysis, workflow automation, and performance optimization.
  • Drive content strategy, including case studies, client success stories, and social posting, to build domain reputation and authority.
  • Own demand generation strategy, messaging and positioning, growth infrastructure, content, experimentation, and performance reporting end-to-end.
  • In the first 30-60-90 days: audit vendors, branding, and inbound performance; analyze SEO progress; establish KPIs; identify channel expansion opportunities; and measure success by workflows transformed.
