About The Position

Alloy Personal Training Edina is seeking an experienced Founding Head Coach/Lead Personal Trainer to help launch one of the Twin Cities’ newest premium personal training studios. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven Head Coach, Lead Personal Trainer, Fitness Manager, Assistant Fitness Director, Strength Coach, or Small Group Training Coach who thrives on delivering exceptional sessions, developing other coaches, supporting membership growth, and building a strong fitness community. Located in one of the Twin Cities’ most desirable communities, Alloy Personal Training Edina offers the opportunity to join a brand-new studio from the ground up and help establish the coaching standards, member experience, and culture from day one. This isn’t simply another personal training position. It’s an opportunity to become a founding leader, build meaningful relationships with members, develop an exceptional coaching team, and help launch one of Minnesota’s premier personal training studios. The Founding Head Coach will be instrumental in establishing the training experience, developing the coaching team, supporting presales, and helping build a strong founding membership. The ideal candidate will coach approximately 24–30 hours per week while also supporting new-member consultations, starting point sessions, retention, grassroots marketing campaigns, community events, and staff development. You’ll be a leader on the training floor and throughout the studio. The Head Coach will be an instrumental part of the studio while driving exceptional coaching, member retention, hiring, team training, and coach development. You’ll spend approximately 24–30 hours each week conducting premium small group personal training sessions. The remainder of your time will focus on member retention, coach development, studio support, and helping the team execute Alloy’s proven operating system. This is a hands-on leadership role. The right candidate is excited to coach sessions, develop relationships, support consultations, attend community events, follow up with prospective members, mentor other coaches, and help ownership build an exceptional studio. You’ll work alongside passionate ownership and studio leadership to recruit and develop an exceptional coaching team, build a thriving founding membership, establish an outstanding training culture, and help launch one of the Twin Cities’ premier personal training studios.

Requirements

  • Nationally recognized personal training certification through NASM, ACSM, NSCA, CSCS, ISSA, NCCPT, NCSF, ACE, or another approved organization, or a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or a related discipline
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
  • At least two years of experience as a personal trainer or small group training coach
  • Strong technical coaching skills and the ability to confidently lead groups of four to six members
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and connect with adults across a wide range of ages, abilities, and fitness levels
  • Strong communication, leadership, time-management, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable mentoring and providing feedback to other coaches
  • Computer literacy and the ability to learn studio-management systems
  • Availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours based on studio needs
  • Passion for helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate small group personal training sessions for four to six members with exceptional technical coaching, energy, and individual attention
  • Create a best-in-class training experience by building genuine relationships with members and understanding their individual goals
  • Coach approximately 24–30 hours per week while maintaining the highest standards for safety, programming, execution, and member engagement
  • Lead, mentor, train, and develop the studio’s coaching team
  • Assist with coach recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing performance development
  • Support presale initiatives, new-member consultations
  • Help develop long-range goals and objectives that improve member satisfaction, employee engagement, retention, and membership growth
  • Partner with the Founding General Manager on community building, grassroots marketing, local partnerships, and community events
  • Help turn prospective members into long-term Alloy clients
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and welcoming training environment
  • Lead by example while creating a positive, accountable, and team-first culture
  • Perform other studio responsibilities as needed
