About The Position

Alloy Personal Training Edina is hiring a Founding General Manager to lead the launch of one of the Twin Cities' newest premium personal training studios. This is a sales and leadership role first. If you have built membership, led a team, and enjoy owning a number, this is a rare chance to open a studio from an empty space and run it as if it were your own. The role involves running presales, signing the founding membership, hiring and developing the coaching team, and setting the culture and standards for the studio. You will work directly with ownership. This position offers a path to real ownership in the studio you build.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years leading a boutique fitness studio, health club, or another membership, hospitality, or high-end service business.
  • Documented record of consultative selling into recurring revenue.
  • Experience hiring, scheduling, and developing a small team.
  • Comfortable with payroll, scheduling, and daily operations.
  • Available for some mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, especially through presale and opening.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required, or obtained before opening.

Nice To Haves

  • A personal training certification is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Sales: Work leads daily, book Starting Point Sessions, and close them. Own lead follow up, show rate, and close rate. Deliver consultations using Alloy's assessment process.
  • Run local outreach: business to business partnerships, community events, chamber and networking groups.
  • Build the founding membership: Sign the founding member base during presale and manage steady growth toward a stabilized studio of roughly 110 to 130 active members.
  • Lead the team: Hire, onboard, schedule, and develop coaches. Run weekly team and leadership meetings. Hold quarterly reviews.
  • Retention: Implement accountability sessions, InBody weeks, quarterly challenges, milestone and success story recognition, and low usage outreach.
  • Operate: Manage scheduling, payroll, billing, opening and closing standards, cleanliness, vendor coordination, and reporting.
  • Coach, on your terms: Up to 10 hours a week on the floor, with flexibility to adjust based on sales needs and studio occupancy.

Benefits

  • Health insurance stipend from your start date, with a company group health plan planned for 2027.
  • Paid training at Alloy headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Complimentary Alloy membership and free workouts.
  • Up to 30% employee discount on retail and supplements.
  • Flexible scheduling.
  • Ownership stake up to 5%.
