About The Position

AI has made it almost free to send cold emails that sound personal, and inboxes are drowning in them. Companies spend money on ads, data, and outreach tools to get someone's attention; we think more of that money should go to the person they want to reach. Instant Expert lets you pay customers, candidates, and experts for a call or reply, with payment only when they respond. Our ambition is to make paying for someone's time a normal part of doing business.

Requirements

• Strong, product-minded engineer who's owned consequential systems in production.
• Depth in large-scale email, people-data integrations, or workflow automation.
• Ability to move from API and data problems to a polished customer experience.
• Ambitious, resourceful, and fast.
• Desire for broad ownership.
• Ability to make good calls with incomplete information.
• Ability to follow through until customers see the improvement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a founder or very early startup hire is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Build across the product, with an initial focus on the supply side: finding the right people, reaching them, and turning requests into completed calls and replies.
• Improve search and enrichment across Exa, Crustdata, and Apollo to help customers find people they couldn't reach before.
• Find more accurate contact details at lower cost through providers like Findymail, ContactOut, and OpenMart.
• Scale email sending across Gmail API, Resend, and SMTP, improving deliverability and reliability as volume grows.
• Automate research, follow-ups, reply handling, and booking so more requests succeed with less manual work.
