Founding Commercial Lead

Rockstar•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

The Founding Commercial Lead will shape and execute commercial strategy for a market infrastructure company accelerating the commercialization of clean energy and industrial technologies. The company is building an AI-native platform that connects energy suppliers with hyperscalers and data center developers, automating diligence and deal structuring so parties can move from evaluation to signed agreements more quickly. Its first focus is clean, reliable power for data centers, with plans to expand to other critical industrial inputs. This is a founding role with substantial ownership in shaping both the company’s work and how it is done. The role owns strategy and execution for corporate offtake agreements, fuel contracts, and innovative procurement structures. It bridges early buyer conversations and contract-ready deal terms, timelines, and requirements; develops go-to-market strategy; builds relationships with sustainability teams, project developers, and investors; and brings deals from sourcing through signature. The Founding Commercial Lead will also help standardize project diligence through templates, data rooms, and commercial terms that support bankability. Working across commercial strategy, product, and operations, this person will translate buyer needs into product requirements that streamline contracting and de-risk transactions, while helping ensure the company ships what customers need and executes reliably. The role calls for a founding operator with an owner’s mindset who can move between executive-level strategy, detailed operational work, and customer-facing support in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. The company describes meaningful equity and compensation that scales with funding and traction, and notes that it has closed deals and facilitated connections between data center developers and clean energy projects.
