About The Position
Our client is a lean, profitable AI infrastructure company building an open-source gateway for teams to work with 100+ AI providers through a unified API. Its Python SDK and FastAPI proxy support a growing base of leading enterprise customers. The company is growing rapidly and is building its second major product.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of AI engineering experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science from a top 25 U.S. computer science program.
- Ability to ship production software and communicate proactively with customers.
- Professional English fluency.
- Evidence of initiative in college through entrepreneurial projects, hackathons, or coding competitions.
- Comfort working with Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, and LLM APIs in a product environment.
- Willingness to work full time, five days onsite in San Francisco, on a 60-hour workweek.
Nice To Haves
- Production experience with Python and FastAPI.
- Experience with infrastructure, developer tools, or LLM products.
- Experience building products in a high-growth, early-stage environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship product features across backend APIs, the dashboard, and the developer experience.
- Work directly with users to understand their problems and translate feedback into product decisions.
- Partner closely with the founders to shape and launch the company’s second major product.
- Use customer insight to prioritize practical features and improve the product after launch.
- Take ownership of ambiguous problems and move them from idea to production.
