About The Position

Foster Parent Support Specialist Are you called to a meaningful career dedicated to providing Hope, Homes, and Healing for children in foster care? 4KIDS is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Foster Parent Support Specialist to provide guidance, advocacy, and support services to foster families and the children placed in their care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field required
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Christian faith and the mission, vision, and core values at 4KIDS
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with children and families in foster care, child welfare, crisis intervention, or family support services
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as needed for home visits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have reliable transportation that can be used for work purposes
  • Must have and maintain a valid Florida driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Child Welfare certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with foster families through regular communication and ongoing support
  • Provide on-call and crisis support services to foster families as needed
  • Offer spiritual encouragement, prayer, and faith-based support consistent with the mission and values of 4KIDS
  • Complete and maintain accurate case documentation, reports, and program records in compliance with Florida statutes and agency requirements
  • Advocate for services and resources that support the well-being and stability of children and foster families
  • Conduct home visits, every 90 days, with each licensed foster family
  • Attend court hearings when necessary and support foster families through the legal process
  • Coordinate services with DCF, CBC lead agencies, schools, medical providers and community partners
  • Facilitate and participate in foster parent support groups, trainings, and family engagement activities
  • Relicense foster homes in caseload within established timelines
  • Monitor and maintain compliance related requirements, including Extended Reach documentation due dates
  • Maintains current knowledge of Florida Statutes and CBC lead agency standards
