About The Position

The Worker provides services to children and their families referred from County Children and Youth agencies as well as Philadelphia Community Umbrella agencies. For County-referred cases, the role is that of a Foster Care Worker, providing case management services in consultation with the referring County worker, with the overall goal of permanency for each family and child. This includes ensuring foster resource homes comply with regulations and are re-certified by their anniversary date. For Community Umbrella Agency cases, the role is that of a Resource Parent Support Worker, providing non-casement services to the foster resource parent caring for the child/youth. This also includes ensuring the foster resource home is in compliance with regulations and re-certified by their anniversary date, and supporting the resource parent's care of the child/youth.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in the field of Social Work or a related field.
• One year experience working with children and families in a professional setting is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in child welfare, casework, or child care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services in consultation with the referring County worker for County-referred foster care cases.
