Forward Deployed Product Manager
About The Position
FERMÀT is hiring a Forward Deployed Product Manager to partner directly with enterprise brands and retailers to discover, design, and deliver AI-powered commerce solutions. The role owns the process from identifying a client problem through production delivery, using the FERMÀT platform and AI tools to develop proof of concepts. The Product Manager coordinates across sales, account management, and engineering to ensure solutions are delivered and clients realize value. Working closely with the founders and the FDE team, the role helps advance AI applications in commerce and develops the playbook for enterprise AI deployment as the company scales.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in management consulting (MBB, Big 4, or boutique strategy) or investment banking.
- Experience independently owning client relationships.
- Demonstrated comfort using AI tools in an actual workflow.
- Strong structured thinking and communication skills, including the ability to turn complex client problems into clear solution narratives.
- Experience working across sales, product, and engineering stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
- High agency, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to work independently without an established playbook.
- Strong discovery skills and the ability to ask effective questions.
- Comfort using MCPs to interact with SaaS tools.
Nice To Haves
- Technical curiosity and a background demonstrating the ability to pick up tools quickly; a computer science or engineering degree is not required.
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Replit, and Lovable.
Responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise brands and retailers to discover, design, and deliver AI-powered commerce solutions from problem identification through production.
- Run client discovery sessions to identify meaningful problems and translate them into proofs of concept using the FERMÀT platform and Claude Code.
- Coordinate delivery across sales, account management, and engineering to ensure solutions ship and provide value to clients.
- Work with the founders and FDE team to advance AI applications in commerce for large brands.
- Build and refine the enterprise AI deployment playbook, incorporating lessons learned into team standards.
