About The Position

The ideal Forward Deployed Product Manager (FDPM) candidate is a customer obsessed AI product manager who thrives on our customers’ successful outcomes. You will spend most of your time talking to customers and connecting their technical requirements to the OneSchema product offerings. FDPMs ensure our customers’ success by building and delivering solutions that meet their needs. They translate customer feedback into internal product requirements for scalable products that land with customers. In this role, you'll spend approximately 80% of your time embedded with client accounts, driving product strategy and execution over zoom or on-site, while dedicating the remaining 20% to internal product initiatives that strengthen our overall offering.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background (CS/EECE background and/or production level development experience) or technical product management experience
  • Intimate familiarity with LLMs, fine-tuning, model inference, agents etc.
  • 2 - 5+ years of experience in products for software engineers (hiring at multiple levels for this role)
  • Strong customer interaction skills, deep customer success focus
  • Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to all kinds of audiences including the latest AI developments
  • Focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones
  • Ability to navigate complex customer/technical scenarios and come up with creative solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in technical product management roles with high degree of customer interactions
  • Interest in generative AI or developer tools
  • Early startup or founding experience
  • Prior technical leadership / technical PM experience

Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with customers from fast-moving startups to large enterprises, to identify use cases and convert interest into long-term usage and expansion
  • Define and propose tailored solutions and proof-of-concepts (POCs) using Agents (Codex, Claude Code) to build high quality and interactive demos that demonstrate the value of OneSchema’s platform in real customer environments.
  • Lead onboarding and implementation efforts, including fine-tuning workflows, latency benchmarks, API integration, and infrastructure alignment.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping shape their AI strategy using OneSchema infrastructure.
  • Translate customer insights into structured product definition, identifying common themes and high-leverage feature requests.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to align customer needs with technical roadmap
  • Drive execution of product development, ensuring that new products land successfully with customers
  • Oversee OneSchema roadmap, ensuring that reflects customer needs
