Forward Deployed Mission Engagement Lead

Sitreps•Minneapolis, MN
•$165,000 - $185,000

About The Position

The Forward Deployed Mission Engagement Lead embeds directly with U.S. military customers across the country as part of a mission team of engineers and other mission leads, deploying software to address difficult mission problems. The role works alongside service members and civilian operators, builds trust by understanding their objectives, translates ambiguous problems into testable mission hypotheses, and tests those hypotheses through product workflows. When workflows prove useful, the lead helps onboard users and cultivate new user groups at customer sites. This is a hands-on field role rather than a typical customer success, solutions, or product position. Day-to-day work includes configuring workflows, evaluating new releases, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with product and engineering to improve software for people in the field. Configurations may take hours and multiple attempts in a day. The role requires independent judgment while working on site, with support from product, engineering, and leadership, and may involve secure or classified spaces. The lead helps identify and document successful outcomes, build user adoption, and expand deployments to additional teams and mission areas. The position is based in Minnesota and involves about 75% travel to customer sites across the United States. It is a full-time employee role requiring U.S. Person status and an active Top Secret clearance. Compensation is $165,000–$185,000 base salary plus equity.
