About The Position

Paperbox builds AI agents for claims and policy administration for insurers, banks, brokers, and expertise firms across Europe. The Forward Deployed Engineer joins the FDE team to take AI agents from signed contract through customer onboarding and production deployment, and to keep them operating effectively afterward. The role owns a portfolio of 6–10+ enterprise accounts at different stages and combines hands-on technical work with frequent customer interaction. The engineer configures and tunes agents for customer workflows, document types, and process flows; builds integrations with customer back-office systems; tunes prompts and evaluates LLM output; and designs agent flows for new use cases. The role also leads technical and architecture conversations with customer IT teams and translates observations from customer deployments into actionable input for Engineering and Product. Engineers design and implement end-to-end solutions that meet customer needs while fitting the Paperbox platform. The position is open to medior and senior profiles. The FDE team shares accounts, reviews work, and supports structured onboarding, with a clear owner alongside new hires as they ramp up. Candidates must speak and understand Dutch and be based in Europe to support customers in Belgium and the Netherlands. Paperbox is open to both payroll employees and subcontractors; benefits may vary by arrangement.
