About The Position

Certa is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to revolutionize how Certa is implemented. Our no-code Studio, featuring Vibe Configuration℠, allows for live workflow configuration by simply describing it. This role involves working directly with Fortune 500 teams across various departments to understand their third-party risk management processes, configure solutions in Certa, and own the entire delivery lifecycle from discovery to go-live and handover. You will be instrumental in defining implementation best practices and bringing valuable customer feedback to the Product team.

Requirements

3+ years in customer-facing technical delivery (forward deployed engineering, solutions architecture, implementation consulting, or technical professional services).
Comfortable with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and data mapping.
Ability to script in Python or JavaScript and debug failures across systems.
Production LLM experience (prompts, retrieval, agent workflows, systematic output evaluation).
Product-centric and shipping-biased mindset, favoring iteration over perfection.
Experience carrying a go-live date, familiar with project plans, RAID logs, phase gates, test scenarios and cases, SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
Strong communication skills: ability to listen first, hold discussions with diverse stakeholders, and say no constructively.
Domain knowledge in third-party risk, procurement, or compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Understand the business process: Run discovery and design sessions with Fortune 500 teams across compliance, security, privacy, legal, procurement, finance, and sustainability to learn how their third-party processes actually run today.
Document & optimize it: Map the current state and agree a target state against customer-defined metrics such as onboarding cycle time, assessment turnaround, reviewer effort, and audit readiness.
Configure & automate it in Certa: Build workflows, forms, logic, risk scoring, and approvals in Studio using Vibe Configuration℠, including integrations and data flows into existing systems, and debug them when they break.
Own the delivery: Own the plan, governance, and test cycle (scenarios and cases, SIT, UAT, sanity and regression testing), then manage cutover, go-live, hypercare, and handover, ensuring accountability for the date and success metrics.
Bring learning back from the front lines: Identify platform limitations, provide evidence to the Product team, and transform successful implementations into templates and accelerators for future deployments.
