About The Position

This opportunity is with Nielsen’s Gracenote division, a provider of entertainment metadata that powers search, discovery, and navigation systems. The role leads technical pre-sales and implementation for Gracenote API and AI products, with a focus on creating agents that use Gracenote Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers to solve customer problems. The position serves as a technical bridge between B2B customers and product and engineering teams, helping clients integrate Gracenote metadata into LLM-powered discovery experiences and demonstrating AI-first approaches to business problems. The role combines customer consultation, agent development, solution architecture, and implementation support. It involves building focused AI agents that demonstrate the capabilities of Gracenote’s Video MCP Server, deploying them on agentic frameworks, and guiding customer developers through technical adoption. The position also validates new MCP tools and features, represents customer needs to product teams, and establishes implementation practices for global accounts. Travel to customer sites worldwide may be required up to 40% of the time.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of agent creation, agentic deployment frameworks, MCP tooling, LLM use of MCP Tools, Resources, and Prompts, and JSON-RPC 2.0.
  • Practical experience with the AWS ecosystem, specifically AWS Cognito for identity management, user authentication, and secure API access control.
  • Experience designing, deploying, or observing multi-step AI agents using one or more agent frameworks.
  • Understanding of MCP tool chaining, system prompt engineering, function calling across major LLMs, and step-level tracing or response evaluation.
  • Ability to navigate enterprise security requirements, including OAuth/OIDC, and data privacy requirements.
  • Strong Python or TypeScript/Node.js skills to support proofs of concept and integration with B2B enterprise APIs.
  • Experience connecting MCP clients and servers to managed enterprise foundation models through services such as AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, or Microsoft Azure AI / Foundry.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions to diverse audiences, from C-suite executives to engineering teams.
  • Proven consultative leadership and stakeholder management skills to guide discovery, execute proofs of concept, and communicate technical strategy.
  • Ability to travel globally to customer sites up to 40% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google ADK, AWS Bedrock Agents, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
  • Familiarity with large-scale structured datasets, content discovery architectures, and search and recommendation engine mechanics.
  • Familiarity with the CTV/streaming and entertainment ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales to demonstrate Gracenote AI solutions, lead customer discovery, understand use cases and AI-based architectures, identify value propositions, run proofs of concept, and support engagement through contract signature.
  • Design, build, and maintain focused, single-purpose AI agents that demonstrate Gracenote Video MCP Server capabilities and prototype entertainment workflows such as conversational search, catalog enrichment, and personalized recommendations.
  • Deploy AI agents on agentic frameworks, including frameworks provided by Google or AWS, to demonstrate their efficacy.
  • Analyze complex customer environments, recommend integration patterns, and map Gracenote tools and resources to customer-specific AI workflows.
  • Act as Customer Zero by becoming familiar with, testing, and validating new MCP tools and features before client release.
  • Guide developers through technical adoption with code-level guidance, documented integration use cases, and support for JSON-RPC 2.0-based API and server interaction.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and translate customer requirements into product inquiries and technical documentation.
  • Establish standardized SLAs and implementation best practices for consistent delivery across Tier 1 and Tier 2 global accounts.
  • Travel to customer sites globally, up to 40% of the time, for workshops, discovery sessions, and on-site technical support.
