Forward Deployed Engineer

Booz Allen Hamilton•McLean, VA

About The Position

The Forward Deployed Engineer turns validated AI solutions into working customer deployments. The role works directly with customers to implement workflows, integrate enterprise systems, and demonstrate that solutions meet agreed technical acceptance criteria. Responsibilities include adapting reusable agent components, configuring customer environments and instrumentation, and diagnosing integration, retrieval, model, and workflow issues. The engineer establishes customer evaluation baselines, coordinates readiness reviews, and prepares deployment, rollback, troubleshooting, and enablement materials. Accountability includes implementation quality, initial deployment, technical acceptance, and explicit handover to designated operational owners and Customer Success. Reusable improvements and recurring defects are relayed to engineering. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements. Selected applicants will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client. The projected annualized compensation range is $77,600 to $176,000 USD. Salary depends on factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.
