About The Position

Propelling Tech is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer, also described as an AI Business Engineer, to bridge enterprise executives and engineers by understanding client businesses and building AI, data, and agentic solutions that reach production and deliver measurable results. The role works directly with client stakeholders to understand processes, data, and pain points, then redesigns processes and builds end-to-end solutions, from data models and pipelines to generative AI applications and agentic workflows. The engineer owns problems from initial discussions through adoption and measured business impact. The position combines business process analysis and stakeholder communication with hands-on AI and data engineering. Solutions may include generative AI applications, intelligent document processing, classification, matching, decision support, AI agents, and automated workflows with reasoning, tool use, and human-in-the-loop controls. The engineer will also work with relational and cloud databases, develop data models and pipelines, ensure data quality, and create reporting and dashboards. Propelling Tech is an AI, data, and consulting firm serving enterprise clients across the US, Europe, and the Middle East. The company describes its teams as working in hybrid offices and emphasizes high-impact client work, autonomy, learning, growth, and business outcomes. The posting gives conflicting location information: it describes offices in L'Illa (Barcelona) and Madrid, while the Logistics section lists hybrid work with offices in Short Hills, NJ. It lists English under Logistics, although the qualifications require fluency in both English and Spanish.
