About The Position

NinjaTech AI is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to turn large enterprise contracts into successful production deployments of autonomous AI agents. The FDE embeds with enterprise customers, learns their operations and data, and owns technical success from kickoff through go-live and expansion. The role works at the intersection of customer needs and NinjaTech’s platform, with deployments expected to reach production in weeks rather than quarters. The FDE builds tailored agentic workflows and integrations with customer systems, including data sources, identity, ticketing, CRMs, and internal APIs. They lead technical working sessions with customer stakeholders ranging from frontline operators to executive technology and security leaders, and translate customer goals into architectures and platform implementations. They also support adoption and expansion by measuring usage and finding additional valuable workflows. The role handles technical aspects of enterprise security and procurement reviews, including isolated-VM and data-residency requirements, SSO/SCIM, SOC 2 and DPA questionnaires, and technical due diligence. The FDE shares prioritized field insights with core engineering and may contribute fixes or reusable components. The position is onsite in Austin, Texas, with travel to customer sites of approximately 25%. Compensation is a base salary of $80,000–$120,000, depending on level and experience, plus equity and a delivery- and expansion-linked bonus. Requirements

Proficiency in Python and at least one of TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Go.
Comfort working across data plumbing, APIs, and some front-end development as needed for demos.
Genuine curiosity about agentic AI and LLM systems, including prompt and tool design, evaluations, orchestration, guardrails, and production failure modes.
Ability to work with messy, large-scale, real-world data and reason about storage, pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
Ability to communicate credibly with CTOs and understand frontline users’ actual workflows; listens before building.
Bias to ship, with the ability to work quickly and precisely, iterate with users, and adapt to evolving objectives.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% to customer sites.
Willingness to work onsite in Austin, Texas.

Nice To Haves

Experience integrating into regulated or security-sensitive enterprise environments, such as isolated VMs, on-premises or VPC environments, SOC 2, HIPAA, or FedRAMP-adjacent settings.
Prior forward-deployed, solutions-engineering, or delivery experience at an enterprise-software or infrastructure company.
A track record of growing an initial deployment into a substantially larger customer footprint.

Responsibilities

Embed with newly closed enterprise customers, learn their operations and data, and establish initial production agent workflows on the NinjaTech platform.
Integrate NinjaTech’s platform with customer systems, including data sources, identity, ticketing, CRMs, and internal APIs.
Build tailored automations, prompts, tools, and guardrails for customers’ jobs-to-be-done.
Lead technical working sessions with frontline operators and customer executives, translating customer goals into architectures and explaining the platform in customer-relevant terms.
Drive adoption and expansion by instrumenting usage, identifying additional high-value workflows, and supporting broader rollouts.
Own the technical aspects of security reviews and procurement due diligence, including isolated-VM and data-residency requirements, SSO/SCIM, SOC 2 and DPA questionnaires.
Provide prioritized customer and deployment feedback to core engineering, and occasionally contribute fixes or reusable components.
Travel to customer sites as needed, approximately 25%.
