About The Position

This role is for an expert in analyzing geospatial and imagery intelligence, combined with other intelligence streams, who wants to directly interact with teams that make an impact and enable action. The analyst will provide geospatial analysis enhanced by human, signals, and open-source intelligence, leveraging big data and modernized analytical methodologies. The position offers the opportunity to understand end customer needs, provide meaningful insights for effective solutions, and potentially travel to meet customers. Analysts will use tools like ArcGIS, QT Modeler, RemoteView, and SocetGXP to tease out trends for decision-makers in military operations and policy analysis. There are opportunities for skill expansion through technical training in areas like Python scripting, JEMA modeling, AI, and ML. Support to critical and emerging operations will provide continuous insight and feedback from those who depend on the analysis. This position is located in Springfield, VA, and involves a 4-to-6-month rotation deploying to a forward location (CONUS or OCONUS) based on mission needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with geospatial analysis and presenting results in the form of data sets, visualization, and models for inclusion in standard and formalized intelligence analysis products.
  • Experience applying Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) methodologies to intelligence problem sets.
  • Experience in Counterterrorism, Counter-Narcotic, or Counter-Threat Finance analysis and operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, database entry, graphics design principles, ArcGIS, QT Modeler, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, RemoteView, or SocetGXP.
  • Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.
  • Knowledge of a programming or scripting language and appropriate software used to analyze geospatial data or commercial imagery, products, processes, and sensors.
  • Ability to read and comprehend intelligence issues and military affairs and use GIS to develop geospatial intelligence reports and products that solve problems.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • HS diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the extraction of feature data using NTM, Mapping, Charting and Geodesy (MC&G) Stereo Imagery, Digital Point Positioning Database (DPPDB), or Orthorectified Mono equivalent, including Precise Terrain and Ortho Product (PTOP), Mr. Sid Orthorectified Geotiffs (MSOG), Precise Orthorectified Image Datasets (POl D), or Controlled Image Base (CIB).
  • Experience with a previous deployment.
  • Experience in the military or providing demonstrated support to military operations.
  • Knowledge of the DoD tasking and collection process.
  • Knowledge of the DoD and the intelligence community (IC).
  • Ability to create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products.
  • Ability to conduct quality control checks without significant errors.
  • Ability to use a variety of DoD specified digital data formats, including commercial imagery, panchromatic data, spectral data, SAR, and OPIR data.
  • Possession of excellent customer service skills.
