About The Position

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has a contract position opening for a forklift test driver in our Fairview, Oregon facility. This position involves reliability and validation testing of prototype and production forklifts. The role operates on the third shift, Sunday night through Thursday night (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) with a paid 30-minute lunch. Weekend overtime may be required when testing projects are in high demand.

Requirements

Ability to multi-task with the use of lots of different hand and foot controls (think riding a motorcycle or a quad).
Reliability and validation testing of prototype and production forklifts.

Nice To Haves

Forklift or heavy equipment driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive forklifts following course maps and instructions.
Keep accurate, legible, and knowledgeable test logs to communicate observations and events to technicians and engineers.
Perform simple facility or vehicle maintenance duties as assigned.
Follow safety procedures.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
