Forklift Test Driver
About The Position
Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has a contract position opening for a forklift test driver in our Fairview, Oregon facility. This position involves reliability and validation testing of prototype and production forklifts. The role requires driving forklifts following course maps and instructions, keeping accurate test logs, performing simple maintenance duties, and adhering to safety procedures. The position is for the third shift, Sunday night through Thursday night (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.), with a paid 30-minute lunch. Weekend overtime may be required when testing projects are in high demand.
Requirements
- Must be able to multi-task with the use of lots of different hand and foot controls (think riding a motorcycle or a quad).
Nice To Haves
- Forklift or heavy equipment driving experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive forklifts following course maps and instructions.
- Keep accurate, legible, and knowledgeable test logs to communicate observations and events to technicians and engineers.
- Perform simple facility or vehicle maintenance duties as assigned.
- Follow safety procedures.
