About The Position

The Forklift/PIV Operator works on the team in Willard, Ohio, operating a forklift or powered industrial vehicle to support material movement, inventory accuracy, and production supply. The role includes inspecting the forklift daily, loading and unloading materials, scanning inventory, keeping assembly lines supplied without overstocking, and maintaining neat stock areas. The operator follows site safety policies and applicable ISO procedures, uses proper radio etiquette, provides departmental backup as needed, and completes other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at $20.60 per hour. The position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work overtime as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid lift truck operator’s license or successful completion of lift truck training.
Willingness to learn the facility layout.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn Janus scanning guns and procedures.
Knowledge of the AS400 system or willingness to learn.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Complete the daily forklift safety check sheet.
Load and unload parts or materials from trucks.
Scan parts into and out of stock locations to maintain inventory accuracy.
Keep assembly lines and associated departments stocked with appropriate quantities of parts while avoiding excess inventory.
Follow all SBD Willard safety policies and applicable ISO standards and procedures.
Keep stock areas neat and organized.
Use proper radio etiquette.
Provide backup throughout the department as needed.
Perform tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader.
